With almost 30 years in the Financial Services & Credit Industry, Christopher Shuler has had a distinguished career marked by vision, leadership, strategic development and tactical action. He is known for his ability to identify and capitalize on emerging business opportunities with a specialization in start-ups that have delivered substantial financial and market results for each of his employers. With an outstanding record of success, Mr. Shuler is strong market leader within the industry.
Beginning his career in 1990, in business development at Wallace & de Mayo, P.C. (the largest collections law firm in the U.S., later acquired by Total Systems Services), Mr. Shuler quickly gained experience, took on increasing responsibility and successfully moved through his early career. He held positions at Qualitec, JDR Receivables Management (the 9th largest consumer collections agency in the U.S., later acquired by NCO Group) and OSI (the 2nd largest receivables management firm in the United States). In these roles Mr. Shuler honed his skills and provided strategic leadership and business development expertise across many business units as he continued to significantly increase revenue and add new opportunity for his employers.
In July 2002, Mr. Shuler launched Vital Solutions, Inc., an account receivables management firm in Atlanta, Georgia that provides both third party collections services and business process outsourcing services to the auto finance, credit card, mortgage and utility vertical markets. After 14 successful years, he sold Vital to Fusion BPO and remained on board as CEO & President to assist the new owners.Late in 2016, Mr. Shuler joined American First Finance in Dallas, Texas as their Chief Operating Officer. He remained with AFF helping to streamline operations and increase growth until mid-2018 when he left to start Activate Financial, LLC.
Mr. Shuler holds a B.S. from the University of West Georgia and he is a graduate of the Management Institute Program at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has served as the National Treasurer of the Chi Phi Fraternity and as Chairman of the Chi Phi Educational Trust (Foundation) during a multi-million-dollar Capital Campaign. Additionally, he has served as Treasurer and Vice President of the UWG National Alumni Association.
